Your heart is hurting because you loved your pet deeply. It is natural. Cry as much as you need to.
You can:

  1. Be gentle with yourself right now.

  2. Learn more about grief on the Grief Resources Page.

  3. Have gentle responses ready for those who don't understand that your pet was a family member or that your grief does not have a time limit.

  4. Join us at the Rainbow Bridge Walk, the original pet memorial/tribute event, speaking to hearts like yours since 2012.
